Avi Eres, MD, FACC, FSCAI
Dr. Eres is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Eres completed his medical degree at the Ben Gurion University College of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Eres is also board certified with the American Board of Vascular Medicine in General Vascular Medicine and in Interventional Vascular Medicine.
From 1991 to 1993, he served as a cardiologist at the Daniel Boone Clinic in Harlan, Kentucky. Dr. Eres returned to New York in 1993 to complete an additional fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
In 1995 he moved to Lexington, KY and is a co-owner of Kentucky Cardiology. He also serves as the Director of the Heart Catheterization Laboratory at Saint Joseph East Hospital. Dr. Eres is the principal investigator for several clinical trials and has published several studies relating to the heart and blood vessels.
Dr. Eres is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, American Medical Association, Kentucky Medical Association, Lexington Medical Society and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He has hospital affiliations with St. Joseph East Hospital, St. Joseph West Hospital and Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He is married and has three children.

Mubashir A. Qazi, MD, FACC, FSCAI
Dr. Qazi is the Chief of Cardiology at Saint Joseph East Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Qazi completed his cardiology fellowship training at West Virginia University School of Medicine and his residency in internal medicine at Ohio Valley Medical Center. He graduated from Khyber Teaching Hospital in Pakistan.
Dr. Qazi is a co-owner of Kentucky Cardiology and has been practicing medicine in Lexington, Kentucky since 1997. He is co-investigator for numerous clinical research trails offering his patients the latest in cardiac treatment. Dr. Qazi maintains hospital affiliations at St. Joseph East Hospital, St. Joseph West Hospital and Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Dr. Qazi is on the Board of Directors of the Central Kentucky American Heart Association. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, American Medical Association, Association of Pakistani Physicians, the Kentucky Medical Association and the Lexington Medical Society and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. Todd Callihan, PA-C
Graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville with a Masters in Medicine/Physician Assistant Studies. Todd is licensed under the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure and credentialed through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and has often been a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Todd joined Kentucky Cardiology in November 2010 and works both in the outpatient clinic and the hospital settings. He has ten years of experience in cardiology and family practice and is a native of Lexington. His outside interests include sports, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
Chad Hunt, RN
Graduated with a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University in 1997. Chad has over 10 years of experience as a cardiac nurse in Cardiac Care Units in the hospital setting. He is a licensed RN through the Kentucky State Board of Nursing. Chad works as a Physician Extender with our team of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners in providing care to our patients in the hospital setting. Chad has worked for Kentucky Cardiology since November 2006. He is also a member of the American College of Cardiology. Chad is an avid sports fan.

Graduated in 2004 from the University of Kentucky with her Masters in Nursing and is a fully credentialed Acute Care Nurse Practioner with the ANCC. She also holds a Bachelors in Science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky in 1993 and worked in research prior to her nursing career. She is a member of Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American College of Cardiology. Her areas of interest are Interventional Cardiology and Critical Care.
Shanna M. Meyers, ARNP NP-C
Graduated from The University of Kentucky Baccalaureate Nursing program in 1999. She graduated with honors from The University of Kentucky with a Masters in Nursing in May 2008. She is credentialed as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. As a nurse practitioner she is an active member of The Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives, Sigma Theta Thau honor society, and a member of The American College of Cardiology. Shanna joined Kentucky Cardiology as a nurse practitioner in May 2008. Shanna's professional interests include prevention of cardiovascular complications in diabetic patients.
