Avi Eres, M.D., FACC, FSCAI, FSVM
Dr. Eres is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Eres completed his medical degree at the Ben Gurion University College of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Eres is also board certified with the American Board of Vascular Medicine in General Vascular Medicine and in Interventional Vascular Medicine.
From 1991 to 1993, he served as a cardiologist at the Daniel Boone Clinic in Harlan, KY. Dr. Eres returned to New York in 1993 to complete an additional fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
In 1995 he moved to Lexington, KY and is a co-owner of Kentucky Cardiology. He also serves as the Director of the Heart Catheterization Laboratory at St. Joseph East Hospital. Dr. Eres is the principal investigator for several clinical trials and has published several studies relating to the heart and blood vessels.
Dr. Eres is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, American Medical Association, Kentucky Medical Association, Lexington Medical Society and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He has hospital affiliations with St. Joseph East Hospital, St. Joseph West Hospital and Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He is married and has three children.
Mubashir A. Qazi, M.D., FACC, FSCAI
Dr. Qazi is the Chief of Cardiology at Saint Joseph East Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Qazi completed his cardiology fellowship training at West Virginia University School of Medicine and his residency in internal medicine at Ohio Valley Medical Center. He graduated from Khyber Teaching Hospital in Pakistan.
Dr. Qazi is a co-owner of Kentucky Cardiology and has been practicing medicine in Lexington, KY since 1997. He is co-investigator for numerous clinical research trials offering his patients the latest in cardiac treatment. Dr. Qazi maintains hospital affiliations at St. Joseph East Hospital, St. Joseph West Hospital and Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Dr. Qazi is on the Board of Directors of the Central Kentucky American Heart Association. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, American Medical Association, Association of Pakistani Physicians, the Kentucky Medical Association, the Lexington Medical Society and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He is married and has three children.
Taylor Kinder, APRN
Taylor Kinder, MSN, APRN, FNP-C graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor 's degree in Biology and also has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She spent several years of her nursing career at the University of Kentucky Chandler Level 1 Trauma Center and Emergency Department. She then transitioned to the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory in the Gill Heart & Vascular Institute at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Taylor decided to further her education and attend the University of Cincinnati, where she graduated with her Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Taylor is Board Certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioner's. She remains an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Emergency Nurses Association. She is licensed by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
Taylor has developed a strong passion for preventing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease. She finds the field of cardiovascular medicine to be both extremely important and rewarding. Taylor sees patients in both the outpatient clinic and in the inpatient hospital setting.
Taylor grew up in Louisville, Kentucky but once she met her husband, they decided to make Lexington, Kentucky their home. Together they have two sons and a German Short Haired Pointer. When Taylor is not working, she spends time with family and friends, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, and traveling.
Brittany Bergman, APRN
Brittany Bergman, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing in 2017. She spent 6 years of her nursing career at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit where she cared for critically ill cardiac patients. While working as a nurse, Brittany decided to further her education at the University of Kentucky where she graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in May 2023. As a nurse practitioner, she began working at The University of Kentucky Hospital as a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner caring for patient who underwent open heart surgery. Brittany is Board Certified with the ANCC. She is licensed by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
Brittany sees patients in both the outpatient clinic and in the inpatient hospital setting.
Brittany grew up in Indiana but has been in Lexington, Kentucky for over 11 years. She recently got married and has 2 dogs. When she isn't at work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
