Patient Registration

Prior to your first appointment, our staff will send you information and call you to collect your registration information over the telephone. In addition, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. Please bring your insurance card with you and all your current medications in their original bottles.

Appointments

Our office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Appointments are scheduled in advance. However, if you have an urgent need for evaluation during normal office hours, we will do our best to see you that same day. You are urged to call as early as possible to make the most convenient appointment for you. In the event that you must cancel your appointment we ask that you give at least 24 hours notice. Please bring your insurance card and all your current medications in their original bottles.

Physician Referrals

Referrals from your primary care physician are not required to make an appointment with Kentucky Cardiology. However, our cardiologists will consult and coordinate your care with your primary care physician.

Referring Providers should contact our office if they have questions pertaining to our forms. For any testing, please obtain prior authorization prior to sending the request.

Prescriptions

You may call our office during regular office hours and select option 3 for prescription refill requests. We strive to complete all requests within 48 hours, excluding weekends. Please note that many 90 day prescription centers require at least one week processing mail orders.

Fees/Payments/Insurance

Kentucky Cardiology's fees are based on various procedures and the complexity of your health care needs. All co-payments, deductibles and other amounts not covered by insurance are your financial responsibility and should be paid at the time of your appointment. Our billing staff is up-to-date on all types of insurance plans and will assist in seeking reimbursement from your insurance company. If you have questions about our billing procedures, please call us.

Emergencies

Due to the nature of our specialty, emergencies may occur. Emergencies will always receive priority during normal business hours. Sometimes an emergency may delay your appointment and we ask for your understanding should this happen during your appointment time. In the event of an emergency after normal business hours, we ask that you seek immediate care in the closest hospital emergency room. The emergency room personnel will then contact us.

Non-Emergencies

In non-emergency situations, we ask you to call our office during regular business hours so that we are able to refer to your chart. Our staff can answer many questions.
